Location

14 Fl. Mitsui Garden Hotel in front of Kashiwanoha-campus Station (MAP)

Kashiwanoha-campus Station is the nearest station to the Kashiwa Campus. There are useful faclities such as a large shopping mall having a supermarket, various shops, and a movie theater etc., convenience stores and a post office and so on.

It is very convenient to commute; the buses for the Kashiwa Campus departs just in front of the hotel.

 

Eligibility
  • International students (including research students) admitted or enrolled in UTokyo
  • International researchers or faculty who work at UTokyo
  • Internationlal students or researchers accepted by an department of Kashiwa Campus, UTokyo, based on the agreement between UTokyo and other universities abroad.
    *Note that we may rescind acceptance of the room you applied if there are any falsehoods in your application documents.
    * All rooms are for individual use only.

    * Japanese are not eligible.

 

Period of Stay
  1. Students: the standard period of academic study for the degree being pursued. In principle, master students 2 years; doctoral students, 3 years.
  2. Researchers: contract period or three (3) years, whichever is shorter.
  3. International Students/Researchers accepted by exchange agreements: period of stay permitted by Graduate School/Institution at UTokyo.
  4. Tenant is not allowed to vacate the apartment before the  permitted period of stay exipres except in unavoidable circumstances. Although extension of tenancy is not allowed, tenant shall be eligible for applying the room again.

How to apply

Submit the application form below by the deadline above to the Kashiwa International Office (KIO). ※Make sure to attach a copy of any document that certify your period of enrollment at UTokyo, such as student identification card, certificate of acceptance, or employee contract.You must sign the form and submit the original to KIO in person or by intra-campus (internal) mail. KIO also accepts application forms by e-mail (PDF/JPEG file of your signed application form).

Decision

All submitted applications will be reviewed according to the regulations concerning eligibility.
KIO will notify each applicant of the result by e-mail by December 8th (Fri).
