"Understanding Japanese People and Society" Class

"Understanding Japanese People and Society" class enables you to understand Japanese people and society, and to acquire essential knowledge and communication skills to enjoy your life in Japan. It is held two periods per week. Main activity of this class is to meet and talk with Japanese volunteers. Depending on the number of participants, students and the volunteers may talk in a group or one-on-one. Sometimes the class goes out on a study trip. If necessary, you can consult about some problems you are facing. As long as you can manage minimum conversation in Japanese and willing to try to communicate in Japanese, you are welcome to this class, regardless of your Japanese language proficiency. Come and enjoy!
* International students, foreign researchers of the University of Tokyo and their spouse can participate in the class.
